NZ Activities
Below are brief details of various activities within New Zealand.
Operation Cover Up: Knitting project
Operation Cover Up is a very large project with hundreds of wonderful people involved mainly in knitting blankets and other knitted garments for children in orphanages or poor families in Eastern Europe. (Note: the link above is to a non-MWB web site operated by Operation Cover Up volunteers. We do not control its operation or content.)
Gifts in Kind
From New Zealand we also provide a large quantity of needed goods, such as new (or seconds) clothing, for orphanages and families. These are bulk donations from businesses and we welcome these very much. For some businesses, there may be tax and other incentives available for re-exported goods, and some also need to remove them to countries where their goods and brands are not known.
Bequests
Is your current Will up to date? Your bequest to our work will allow your gift to continue bringing value and blessings for many years to come should you choose to leave us in your will. Please contact us if you would like more information about leaving a bequest to Mission Without Borders.
Focus News reports allow you to find out more about other work we do and the folk we have been helping.
NZ Fundraising Initiatives
New Zealand initiatives handled completely by NZ volunteers include truffle-making (Nelson); stalls selling knitted goods and toys; growing and selling Christmas trees; to mention a few. For more details, or tow sk us about an idea, please contact us and we will be happy to give advice or put you in touch with other supporters in your area.
