Moldova
Mission Without Borders has worked in Moldova since 1997. Based in the capital city of Chisinau, employing only Moldovan nationals, Mission Without Borders has established various humanitarian aid and Christian outreach programs, aimed to meet the needs of Moldova’s most vulnerable people. Akin to neighbouring Romania, Moldova has many dilapidated and overcrowded orphanages that house close to 15,000 children. The desperate plight of these children motivated us to expand our existing Romanian Child Sponsorship Program into Moldova. Mission Without Borders continues to work in co-operation with the Moldovan government to improve the life of many Moldovans of all ages.
In Moldova Mission Without Borders set up vocational / educational training centers and an employment agency to provide children with basic vocational knowledge and skills, to support their further studies or to assist them in job acquirement. Furthermore Mission Without Borders has built agricultural and reintegration centers which do not only provide training facilities but also serve to produce additional food for 10.500 beneficiaries in 58 Chilren’s Homes all over Moldova.
