Pastor Koli Puka of the evangelical church, "Hope for Shkoder", recently expressed his gratitude to the team at MWB Albania. He states:

"Dear leaders of the organization, Mission Without Borders, we would like to thank you for the good co-operation that our church has had with your organisation for years now. We are very grateful for the work you are doing in our country, and for your contribution in improving the lives of many poor families. For us it is a real privilege and pleasure to have this collaboration and support in our humanitarian work. Wishing you good work and further success in your mission, we greet you with appreciation and respect."

Shkoder is the regional capital of the District of Shkoder, in northwestern Albania. It is one of the oldest and most historic places in Albania, and today acts as an important cultural and economic centre. Yet Shkoder is also a region for MWB's family support programmes including mother care, seeds of hope, families in crisis as well as emergency response.

Last winter, thousands of houses and more than 7,000 hectares of land were flooded in Shkoder. Hundreds of families were evacuated, while others stayed in flooded homes. MWB responded in co-operation with local churches and local emergency services.
